Diamond Jubilee Results 2023

It was wonderful to hold an "in person" event again, though sad that Tracy Hughes was unable to attend for personal reasons. Judge Jay Charnock FRPS (who last judged for us at the Diamond Jubilee in 2018) gave an interesting and entertaining commentary on the images, explaining that she looked for a story and an emotional connection in images.

The "most improved" award went to Malling Photographic Society who really have raised their game lately, as Whitstable and Herne Bay discovered in a recent battle. The Diamond Jubilee trophy was won by Seaford Photographic Society who managed to achieve 5 scores of 20 from their 8 images! The "Premier Award Certificate & Ashford P.S Shield Winner" (or "best picture" in simple language) went to Pat Couder CPAGB BPE1 QPSA for her stunning black and white image "Ecowarrior".
